30 rolls of 35mm in 3 months

In November 2022 I headed to Hong Kong with an aching body and cloudy mind. Months of chronic pain and inconclusive doctors visits and medical examinations left me feeling exhausted. My creative practice and relationship to my body had been damaged significantly, and it was through the patient practice of analog photography that I was able to finally find relief and build back what I had lost. The photographs started as simply a way to get me out of the house, and force myself to walk through the pain with a distraction, but evolved into series of self-portraits, documentation of the rapidly vanishing neon signage the city was once so well-known for, and eventually more curated photoshoots and records of nights out with friends that I earned through the healing process. These photographs are deeply personal and meaningful to me, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
